See the UCM3000 in action!
A UNICORE Production CellThis video shows a typical UNICORE production cell. One UCM3000 and one UDM4000 Decoiler, with a small crane to lift coils of strip. Making Uncut UNICORES on Old Unicore machine #1In this video you can see the first Unicore machine old number 1, making uncut cores. Still going strong at 10 years of age! Number 1 shows the wear and tear of a lot of core making (and some prototyping work) Along side is the new model UCM3000 fresh out of the assembly area. The new machine is being used to shoot these videos and being confidence tested before being shipped to a lucky customer somewhere in the world. In the foreground Ray can be seen tapping the laminations into a flat stack while Shawn makes the 3 Phase DUO featured in other videos on this site. Making Cores is Easy!In this time accelerated video Shawn is shown making a 3 phase DUO core - the one used in the How to assemble video. UCM Making LaminationsIn this video the UCM3000 has had it's hood removed so that you can better see the laminations being folded and cut. Making 2 Cores At OnceTo do this you need to be making cores that are under half the folding bar width of the machine In this video Shawn is making 2 single phase butt UNICORES at the same time. These are known as BUTT2 cores.
