The performance curves on this page are the result of empirical testing on a range of toroidal cores produced at AEM Cores from Kawasaki 27RGH100D and tested at various flux densities at 50Hz. On the Power Curves the Specific Total and Quadrature Excitation components have been resolved. Similarly the Reactive and Loss components have been resolved in the Magnetising Field curves. These curves represent a population of cores produced under normal conditions at AEM Cores and represent the expected minimum performance of a core. The curves provide a graphical understanding of the tabulated data. This data should form the basis of any design and can be entered into the lookup tables of a design package. Each core is degaussed before undergoing a multi-point test through a range of flux densities. The total magnetising current is compared against the published data before being de-magnetised and assigned a unique test number. This number is noted on the core label with the part number. There are no power tests performed on a production core. All test data is retained for future reference and qualification. A full description of this process can be found here. No conclusions, nor the performance of other materials can be drawn from this data . |
