The performance curves on this page are the result of empirical testing on a range of toroidal cores produced at AEM Cores from Vacoperm 100 and tested at various flux densities at 50Hz.

The Reactive and Loss Components have been resolved. These curves represent a population of cores produced under normal conditions at AEM Cores and are offered only as an indicator of core response, not as a guarantee.

Each core is degaussed before undergoing a multi-point test through a range of flux densities. The total magnetising current is compared against the published data before being de-magnetised and assigned a unique test number. This number is noted on the core label with the part number. All test data is retained for future reference and qualification. A full description of this process can be found here.
