This article shows you how easy it is to enter your core design into UCS ready to manufacture your cores on the UCM3000 UNICORE machine. This article assumes you have your customer's requirements, and have completed your electrical design and know what type of core face you will use. Start UCS software - you will arrive in the Core designer page. (If you are running with out a Unicore Machine, un-check the Detect UCM box in the bottom middle of the screen)
Enter your core parameters - working from the top left hand corner to the middle and then down the center. So your first action will be to choose the core face from the drop down list, then the corner angle geometry you would like, followed by the window length, window width etc. You will notice that the tables at the bottom (which let you choose the diverging gap solutions) will begin to populate when you have enough information entered. Fine tune your core options - not all options are available for all faces - so some will be grayed out. When you are happy with what you have entered You may save your core design using the filing cabinet icons on the top right hand side, or if you have a Unicore machine, the blue arrows will illuminate to allow you to proceed to the production screen. |
